In grain processing everything is measured by yield and by whole kernels. Every percent of breakage is money lost. SCHULE Mühlenbau supplies machines for the whole path of the grain: from cleaning and hulling, through whitening, polishing and sorting, to grits and flakes.
The sequence of machines is not the same for rice and for oats, nor for lentils and for sunflower. The line is assembled according to the crop, the incoming cleanliness and the required quality of the finished product.
Removal of sand, soil, stones, husks and foreign seeds. Destoner, indented cylinder, circular vibrating screen, colour sorter and awn remover.
Depending on the crop, a centrifugal huller, a rubber roll huller or a fluff remover is chosen. The husk is removed by a husk separator.
Removal of surface layers and deposits from the kernel. The vertical whitener works gently, with a controlled degree of removal.
Smoothing the surface of rice after whitening, or removing saponin from quinoa.
By colour, size and specific weight. Plansifter, sorting cylinder, gravity table, gravity air separator and colour sorter. A homogeneous product raises both the hulling degree and the yield.
For grits, a drum cutter with a sifter and sorting cylinder. For flakes, a hydrothermal conditioner and then a roller flaker.
The standard in rice processing. Roll pressure is set per variety, and built-in roll cooling extends their life. After the huller, the mixture of brown rice, husks and unhulled grain goes to the husk separator. The two machines can also be supplied as a single unit.
Hulls by impact against a ring, without rolls that wear out. Suitable for oats, buckwheat and crops where the husk is firmly attached. Compact, with a single 5.5 kW motor and a capacity of up to 5 t/h.
Ejects kernels of deviating colour, husk residue and foreign bodies. Up to 7 chutes and a capacity of up to 21 t/h, the highest throughput in the whole line, so it is usually placed where the appearance of the finished product is decided.
Rolls of 600 mm diameter and up to 1,300 mm length make flakes of uniform thickness. It works in pairs with a hydrothermal conditioner. The kernel is first softened with steam and only then flattened, which reduces breakage.
Alongside the above we also supply all conveying equipment, silos, bins, cyclones, filters, vibrating screens, electrical equipment and more.
