Hullers, mills, gravity separators and flakers for grain and pulses
In grain processing every percent of breakage is money lost, and breakage is made in the huller and the whitener. SCHULE Mühlenbau supplies machines for the whole path of the grain: cleaning, hulling, whitening, polishing, sorting, grinding and flaking.
The programme consists of twelve machine types which together cover the whole line, from grain intake to the finished product.
There is no universal huller: the way the husk is removed is chosen according to how firmly it is attached to the kernel and how sensitive the kernel is to breakage.
With rubber rolls the pressure is set per variety, and built-in roll cooling extends their life; the centrifugal huller removes the husk by impact, without rolls, in a compact design with a single motor.
Classification runs through a destoner, an indented cylinder separating by kernel length, a gravity air separator and a colour sorter, while the husk separator can also come combined with the huller.
The machines process rice, oats, barley, wheat, rye, spelt, buckwheat, quinoa, soya, peas, lentils, beans, sunflower, rapeseed, flax and hemp, the whole of grain and oilseed processing.
The values in the table are upper limits per type; the actual output depends on the crop, the inlet moisture and the required degree of processing.
